Agricultural Committee Meeting 

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Larry P. Abraham Agri-Nature Center located at 4920 Rio Grande Blvd. NW, Los Ranchos, New Mexico 87107. The Agenda will be posted at a later date. The Village of Los Ranchos Agriculture Committee is an advisory committee and does not have the authority to make decisions on behalf of the Board of Trustees or Planning and Zoning Commission.  Any recommendations made by the Agriculture Committee are non-binding. VILLAGE OF LOS RANCHOS PUBLIC NOTICE.  Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the Warren J. Gray Village Hall, 6718 Rio Grande Blvd. NW,

Los Ranchos, NM 87107, theBoard of Trustees adopted an amendment to the 2013 Codified Ordinances of the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque Chapter 14 Article 1, Sections 1 through 4 as follows: amending Ordinance No. 259,to adopt the New Mexico Uniform Traffic Ordinance (UTO); deleting references to the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Code;deleting sections 14.1.4 (a), (b) and (c); and adding a new section 14.1.4, providing that UTO Section 12-6-1.2 (a)(2) No person shall drive a vehicle on a street or detour at a speed greater than twenty-five (25) miles per hour in any business or residence district.

The ordinance is available for inspection during regular business hours, Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at Village Hall located at 6718 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Los Ranchos, NM 87107.


Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Warren J. Gray Village Hall, 6718 Rio Grande Blvd. NW, Los Ranchos, NM 87107, the Board of Trustees will consider for adoption an amendment to the 2013 Codified Ordinances of the Village of Ranchos de Albuquerque Chapter 2, Administration of Officers, Article 1 Village Officers : An amendment adding section 8, Election of Mayor and Trustees, § 2.1.8,  - An amendment opting in, pursuant to subsection B of section 1-22-3.1 NMSA 1978, to elect the Mayor and Trustees at the Regular Local Election  held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each odd-numbered year, shortening current elected or appointed  official’s terms.  The title sets forth a general summary of the subject matter contained in the ordinance. VILLAGE OF LOS RANCHOS DE ALBUQUERQUE - PUBLIC NOTICE - ORDINANCE NO. 269

PUBLIC NOTICE: ADOPTED ORDINANCE NO. 269; APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO MONTANO LAND, LLC

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque (the Village) approved and adopted Ordinance No. 269 at their regular meeting on September 11, 2019 at 6718 Rio Grande Blvd. N.W., Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque.  The title and the subject matter of the Ordinance is as follows:  

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PROPERTYTO MONTANO LAND, LLC.

The Ordinance approves a Settlement Agreement with Unser Discovery Campus, Inc. and the transfer of property commonly known as 1776 Montano Road, NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87107 to Montano Land, LLC in exchange for a one time-payment of $1.00, and dismissal of the action styled Unser Discovery Campus, Inc. v. Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, Second Judicial District Case No. D-202-CV-2017-05050.

 

The appraised value of the Property is $1,700,000.00, but as detailed in the Ordinance, the transfer of the Property as contemplated by the Settlement Agreement is appropriate because Montano Land, LLC is entitled to offset the purchase price by an amount in excess of the appraised value; the credit to which Unser is entitled under the terms of the Lease Agreement for additional contributions made to the Property approximates $2,198,485.50, and thus, exceeds the appraised value of the Property; the Village did not utilize any Village funds in connection with the transfer of the Property to the Village or its ownership of the Property; and the transfer is part of the settlement of the action styled Unser Discovery Campus, Inc. v. Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, Second Judicial District Case No. D-202-CV-2017-05050.

 

The purposes of the transfer is to settle a pending lawsuit filed by Unser against the Village, and to return the Property to Unser following successful completion of the transaction under which the Village held and administered funds appropriated by the New Mexico Legislature to improve, plan, design, construct, equip, and furnish a discovery center and racing museum on the Property.  

 

This notice is made pursuant to NMSA 1978 § 3-54-1.
