The Village of Los Ranchos Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 2022-08-04; allowing the Village to place on the General Election Ballot the following question:

“Shall the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico be authorized to issue up to $8,000,000 of general obligation bonds for the purpose to acquire, enhance or otherwise improve property for use as open space?”

Q. What are General Obligation Bonds?

A. Voter authorized bonds for the purpose of providing capital funds for infrastructure projects, such as purchasing real property and the renovation of existing property for use as open space.

Q. Will there be an increase to the Village’s Tax Rate?

A. The Village will use existing revenues to pay for voter approved bonds so that there will not be an increase to the Village’s tax rate for debt.

Q. Will there be an increase to my property taxes?

A. There will not be an increase to property taxes.
