Learn about Agrivoltaics, Integrating Solar Energy and Agriculture on the Same Land

Byron Kominek is the owner and manager of Jack's Solar Garden in Boulder County, Colorado and the director of the nonprofit the Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center. The nonprofit showcases the coupling of solar energy production with agricultural activities to educate and inspire the broader community. They namely focus on providing on-site tours and events at Jack's Solar Garden, but are branching out to work on guidance documents around agrivoltaics, county-level policy analyses and land use code development, providing consulting services on agrivoltaic site assessments, solar array designs, and community engagement, and outreach to neighboring states including New Mexico. Bryon will provide an overview presentation of their work and follow up with audience Q&A. An optional farm tour will follow.
