Call for Photographs
We are requesting photographs from residents to highlight the Village and what we love in the Village. We encourage you to submit for the 2035 Master Plan any photograph(s) that:
you took yourself;
do not show people; and
reflect something you feel is important to the Village or that represents the Village.
If you would like to submit a photograph(s), please send them in as high resolution as possible to email@example.com. If the file size is too large, you may also link to a cloud storage system (Google Drive, OneDrive) or deliver a thumb drive in person to Village Hall. All photographs must be in digital format. The deadline for photograph submissions has been extended to 11:59 PM on July 31, 2019. There is no limit on the number of photographs you may submit, however the Village reserves the right to select which photograph(s) will be included in the 2035 Master Plan. Your photographs may also be featured on the Village website under Multimedia Photo Submissions; however, the Village also reserves the right to select which photograph(s) will be featured on the website.
If you have any questions, please see below for our contact information.
By submitting a photograph(s) to the Village of Los Ranchos you grant permission and consent to the Village of Los Ranchos for the use of the submitted photograph(s) in any and all publications of The Village of Los Ranchos 2035 Master Plan, including print or web-based publications, and to be featured on the Village website under the Multimedia Photo Submissions section. By submitting a photograph, you also authorize the Village of Los Ranchos to copy, edit, enhance, crop, or otherwise alter the photograph before use. You acknowledge that you are not entitled to any compensation or royalties with respect to the use of any photograph submitted and represent that you own all rights to the photograph(s) and have the authority to grant the Village of Los Ranchos the right to use the photograph(s).
What is the Master Plan?
The Village has used a Master Plan since 1992 to describe the Village and identify goals and objectives for the future. A Master Plan shapes development for current and future welfare of the community. Much broader than ordinances, the Master Plan does not bind the Village to specific procedures but is rather a guide and aid for interpretation and decision-making.
Why update the Master Plan?
The period of the 2020 Master Plan is coming to a close and, as is only natural over time, conditions and perceptions of the Village have changed. Updating the plan reflects these changes and helps us all to prepare for years to come.
Email Updates & Meeting Reminders
If you would like email updates and meeting reminders, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on the email list. Please be advised that email lists compiled by the Village are "Public Records" and, per State Statute, are open to public review and Public Records requests.
